Comments Off

Even though there are a variety of different symptoms that may occur when you get pregnant, they are also depending on individual. Some women may experience these symptoms rather strong while others have symptoms at all.

Morning sickness is many times considered to be one of the most common symptoms of pregnancy. Nevertheless, it occurs only in small part of all pregnant women. That is why you usually have to look for other signs to assess whether you are pregnant or not.

Here are a few other symptoms that occur or may occur if you are pregnant:

Missed Periods

When you get pregnant your periods will stop. So, this is a symptom all women experience during pregnancy. However, sometimes missed period can be a symptom for other disorder in woman's system.

Some common causes of missed period are for instance, obesity, anorexia, bulimia, some drugs, stress, and many more.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is rather common among women at their most fertile years. One symptom of this condition is irregular periods. Sometimes a woman with PCOS can have periods only after every two or three months.

When your periods are late you should make a pregnancy test before making any conclusions whether you are pregnant or not. Missed period is not guaranteed sign of pregnancy.

Breast Tenderness

Sometimes, woman's breasts become tender only a couple of days after she got pregnant. While missed period is not very reliable sign of pregnancy, breast tenderness along with missed period is much better sign of that.

Your breast generally begins to get tender and enlarges. This is a way for the body to get you ready for breast-feeding.

Some women experience more intense tenderness than others. As any other symptoms of pregnancy breast tenderness is also unique and depends on every specific situation. It can vary even between the same individual in different pregnancies.

Feeling Nausea

Very classic symptom of pregnancy is feeling nausea. Even though not all women experience this, it is very common.

Nausea is a symptom that women usually hates most when they are pregnant. This is especially true among women who have very severe symptoms. They may have to vomit several times a day regardless of time of the day. Luckily, nausea usually disappears during the first three months of pregnancy.

Tiredness

Women who are pregnant also complain that they feel tired most of the time. Some will even consider it as fatigue. Though this symptom needs to be confirmed as a true sign of pregnancy, constant tiredness can also be caused by other health problems.
